Writing your thoughts in a notebook, diary or on a piece of paper on a daily basis or occasionally to record your thoughts, events of life and feelings is a way of Journaling your thoughts. Journaling can be done digitally too as many of us nowadays carry our phones or tablets so we can write our thoughts on the device we are carrying with us.

There are many types of thoughts journal you can keep or just one or maybe all in one as you like but better is to keep separate journal which suits you the best. Mostly people like to keep a diary to record their thoughts with them.

1. Diary Journal - it is the journal to record the events of the day on every date and explaining what all happened during the day.

It is like coming back to home from work and talking to a loved one whose asking about how was your day and you are telling what happened that day, what all good happened, what did you how you felt about a situation and everything you want to tell them, you share writing in the diary.




2. Random/Occasional Journaling - It is keeping a notebook aside to write in it when you just want to take out all your thoughts and emotions from your mind. You write without thinking about anything like grammar or how your feeling or is it right or wrong. It is exactly that you write without thinking expressing your feelings just to take your thoughts out of your mind. It can also be done when you are feeling happy or noticed something new and want to record your thoughts in written.

3. Gratitude journal - it is the most positive and powerful way to keep a journal as it is the journal in which you write daily and occasionally maybe about what all you have and are grateful for. It gets you into a more positive state of thoughts and helps to reduce stress.

Future journal - in this type of journal you right all the future events you want to happen as if it is happening now for example if you want to buy a car in future, you can write about it like as if you are buying a car right now or already have your dream car now and imagine that how smoothly you are driving it.


 


 Feeling amazing to have the car explaining in the journal how you feel about having the car and how it looks; how it is good to drive it. You can use this future journal as a vision journal which will let you know what your future goals are and or what you actually Desire in life and what all you want. It also makes you feel grateful and also that you be in a positive state of mind as it makes you more hopeful for the future and your life.




5. Travel Journal - this journal are mainly meant for travelers who may like to write their travelling experiences in their journal expressing what they liked or disliked about their travelling journey to different places.

Some travelers write even about the spiritual feeling they felt while travelling to a certain place where they felt peace and spiritual. Others may write about the food or the cuisine they enjoyed the most while vising to another state or country. So travel journal is the collection of there thoughts and memories about their traveling experience.




6. Goals Journal - goal journaling is mainly done to keep a clear vision about your goals including small and big goals or you may call them short-term and long-term goals. You write in the goals journal about want you exactly want achieve whether it is related to your health, career, financial situation, love life or relationships in general. Write your plans in it and the steps you have decided to take to reach your goal. Every day you can check this journal and see where you reached and what changes you can make or what else you can do to accomplish your ambition and you write in it.
